Catalog Description :  Linear systems of equations. Operations of linear algebra. Gaussian elimination. Pivoting strategies, LU factorization. Eigenvalues. Iterative methods of Gauss-Seidel and Jacobi. Ordinary differential equations and initial value problems. Euler’s method. Higher order Taylor methods. Runge-Kutta methods. Error control, systems of ordinary differential equations and higher order equations. Applications with MATLAB.

Evaluation Criteria : Midterm: 35% ; HW&Attd.: 15%, Final Exam: 50%

!! Attendance criteria: A minimum % of 50 participation in all classes through the semester is an eligibility criterion to attend the Final Examination!! This criterion is valid for the students taking the course newly and who failed earlier with the NA grade.
